A charger is a device designed specifically for charging electronic devices. It can convert AC power into low-voltage direct current (DC) that can be used by devices, such as 5V, 9V or higher voltage for mobile phones. For charging mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other devices, it usually supports multiple voltage ranges (100-240V) and can adjust the output voltage and current according to the needs of the device.

UK standard charger (or UK standard Adapter) uses UK standard plug and provides the common local 230V/50Hz voltage output so that international travelers can use electronic products locally.

In the UK, standard sockets usually use Type G (BS 1363) plugs, which are the same as the UK standard charger products supplied by Fullglory:
． Type G (BS 1363): has three rectangular pins and an earthing contact. Two of the prongs are for the power cord, the third, longer prong is for the grounding pin, and the plug is relatively large.
． Overload protection: British standard foot chargers usually have overvoltage and overcurrent protection functions to avoid risks such as power overload or short circuit.
． Grounding function: Type G plug has a grounding contact, which is to ensure safety during use, especially for high-power devices.

British standard chargers cannot be used directly in Taiwan because the pin shape and voltage are different. In Taiwan, you need to use a plug adapter, and if the charger only supports 230V, you need to use a transformer to adjust the voltage. If the charger supports 100-240V, then you only need to adapt the plug to use it in Taiwan.

British standard chargers are suitable for many countries and regions including the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, etc. When traveling or living locally, the British standard foot charger will be the most common charging option.
Countries using British standard Type G (BS 1363) sockets with a voltage range of 230V:
．United Kingdom and its overseas territories: United Kingdom (including England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), Ireland (partial area), Malta, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, Saint Helena, Cayman Islands, Botswana (partial area).
．Other countries and regions using Type G sockets: Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, UAE (including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.), Qatar, Bahrain, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Nigeria, Kiribati, New Guinea (partial areas).

Reminder: UK standard chargers are designed for the UK and its overseas territories, use Type G plugs (three rectangular pins), and support 230V voltage. In the UK or other countries that use the same socket standard, these chargers are very common and safe. For use in other countries, a plug adapter or an additional transformer may be required to protect the device.
